![]() The original tintype is rather dark and it is difficult to make out the eyes and face of the woman in the image. I took the original and made a new tintype of it. The original is about 2"x3", and the restored tintype is approximately 4"x6". The old tintype was varnished, it's case newly painted and the brass matting gold leafed. Image of the repainted case, with new linen tape applied.
